Pantopoulos, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Pavia

Georgios
Pantopoulos is a geologist and holds a PhD from the University of Patras
(Greece), specializing in sedimentology of siliciclastic successions. He has
worked in several research projects for the University of Patras, the
Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland, the Federal University of Rio
Grande do Sul (Brazil) and the University of Milan (Italy), involving fieldwork
mapping, clastic sedimentology, statistical and textural analysis of
sedimentological data and marine geological surveying. Since May 2024, he has
been working at the University of Pavia (Italy), as part of an EU-funded
project focusing on the geological modelling of selected areas of the Po Basin
subsurface for geothermal applications.
