Welcome to Dr
Hamed Aghaei, a scientist with a broad background in subsurface engineering and
sedimentary geology (PhD, Monash University). His principal research interests
are in the field of subsurface characterization applied to the energy
transition, with a particular focus on hydrogen storage in carbonate rocks. He
has recently commenced a two-year position as Postdoctoral Research Associate
in the Fluvial, Eolian & Shallow-Marine Research Group; he is based at the
University of Pavia (Italy) and works closely alongside staff at the University
of Leeds. Hamed’s research is focused on investigation of the impact of
sedimentary heterogeneity of fluvial, alluvial and aeolian successions on the
effectiveness of programmes of exploitation of low-enthalpy geothermal
resources.
