Newly developed interfaces for interrogation of our FAKTS and SMAKS analogue databases are now available.

https://frg.leeds.ac.uk/databases-and-software.html

The interfaces have been created in-house by FRG-ERG-SMRG. No paid subscription required for active sponsors. Free access to the interfaces until 30th September 2022. The interfaces are deployed as cloud-based applications: they can be opened in a web browser; no specialized software required. The interfaces provide an extensive set of analogue filters: select relevant analogues to subsurface successions by finding similar depositional systems and filtering on metadata. The interfaces include graphical charting capabilities: graphs and tables are updated in real time fly as filters are applied. The interfaces provide access to data from ca. 600 analogue studies of clastic successions and modern systems. The interfaces employ a modular design: the applications can be expanded through the addition of extra functionalities to suit user requirements (e.g., variogram modelling, volume calculations).
